Mercedes-Benz IT Hub, South Africa Established in April 2019 at the East London Plant, the IT Hub is an extension of the Mercedes-Benz Car (MBC) Operations Division responsible for providing the global Mercedes-Benz manufacturing plants with Information Technology (IT) applications specialising in the manufacturing operations for production systems, supply chain and maintenance services.
The establishment of an IT Hub in East London recognises the Plant as part of Mercedes-Benz’s multi-hub concept to digitalise manufacturing operations, broaden IT competence and production know-how.
The MBSA IT Hub employs over 90 specialists consisting of a mix of graduates and professional experts with Data Science, software development, solution architects and business analyst skills.
