Social Responsibility
A member of the Mercedes-Benz group, we continue to champion Corporate Social Responsibility as part of the strategic approach to increase the company’s competitiveness. We pay special attention to the manner in which we manage our business processes to produce an overall positive impact to the broader society.
Our Corporate Social Responsibility interventions are focused on the direct communities in which we operate, as well as neighbouring communities. This focused approach enables us to have a more direct and targeted impact on those who are impacted by – and impact – the operations of our group of companies.
The three pillars that we emphasise as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility projects are: Education and Youth Development, Community Upliftment and Employee Volunteerism.

One of the key focus areas for our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy is community upliftment, including projects that focus on HIV/Aids in the country.
Our focus on education ranges from pre-school to tertiary and adult basic education, as well as skills development in the technical fields of engineering and technology. We are also Country Patron in South Africa to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and main sponsor of its Youth Education through Sport (YES) programme.
We are known as a corporate that cares, and this mindset is also shared by our employees who give of their time to volunteer in the projects in which we participate.
