In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our primary concern is the health and safety of our customers, workforce and partners. The changing needs of our customers propelled us to ensure that our services continue and our facilities comply with government regulations, whilst remaining customer focused
On 13 May, we began the gradual re-opening of our own-retail operations to allow for business continuity. In this time of crisis, our dealer network has been adhering to stringent safety measures and have limited footfall whilst ensuring our online showroom and prospective customers could browse and buy a new Mercedes-Benz in their own time, wherever they are – without leaving their homes.
Our staff working in the showrooms have all undergone COVID-19 related health and safety induction and have been provided with relevant PPE to use at all times.
Amongst others, we have adopted staggered working hours where employees attend work in teams/shifts to promote social and physical distancing. At the start of each workday, our staff undergo screening including temperature checks and referral for testing, treatment, care and support.
We have ensured that employees, contractors and suppliers and customers are well informed of trading methods, safety protocol and changes in the process.
We are continuously working in close alignment with our workforce and strategic stakeholders to continue delivering our brand promise, “The best or nothing.”
All dealer networks are equipped with guidelines to support retail and share information and learnings that may help prepare for the opening. Several measures have also been put in place to give our customers peace of mind. A full catalogue of measures can be read here.
The Best in Service
We know that a decision to purchase a Mercedes-Benz is always a decision in favour of safety and quality. This is why during the lockdown, we remained committed to putting our customers at ease, by relaxing warranty agreements related to PremiumDrive. With this measure, we enabled online ordering and video sales consultations where all test drives and service bookings are handled by appointment only. Test drives can now be arranged on-site by appointment only, and under very strict hygiene conditions, including fully sanitised cars before and after the drop-off.
